Reading:

Read 20 minutes daily from your Epic Books account.
To complete the Reading assignments this week, you will first go to Seesaw to find the reading lesson for each day. Once you find the lesson for that day of the week, it will have a link that will take you directly to Epic Books to find the story for that lesson in your Epic mailbox.
  • Read A Pond in Spring by M.J. York. Take the quiz at the end of the book. Return to Seesaw to summarize the book.
  • Read Explore My World Duckling by Marfe Ferguson Delano.  Then complete the Life Cycle lesson on Seesaw.
  • Read Ducks on the Farm by Susan Meredith. Take the quiz at the end of the book. Return to Seesaw to complete the activity.
  • Read Nouns by Ann Heinricks. Take the quiz at the end of the book. Return to Seesaw to complete the lesson on Nouns.

Writing:  How To Writing

The next few weeks we will be asking our students to find the ‘How To’ Writing assignments that we have created in Seesaw. There will be two options for these writing assignments. The first option is to write the lessons in a journal, take a picture, then upload the picture to Seesaw to submit. The second option is to type your assignment directly in the Seesaw journal. If you pick the first option please remember to keep your assignments in a safe place as we will add on to our writing with each lesson.
  • How To Writing lesson 1: Brainstorming Your Ideas
  • How To Writing lesson 2: Introduction part 1
  • How To Writing lesson 3: Introduction part 2
  • Continue to write in your journals (see the Journal Buddies link in the Extras section below).
